Troubleshooting: Matches

Re-Adding a Dropped Player

Note: Reenrollment and the player’s fate for the round should be determined by the organizer and possibly the Publisher’s documentation.

  1. Navigate to the Tournament Controller.
  2. Select the Players menu on the left side then scroll or use the search function to select the player.
  3. Open the Status dropdown for the player, select Active then click Save.
    1. If you don’t see the status column, it may be hidden (which you can toggle on), but this action can be performed without the column. You can click on the hyperlinked player name, which will pop up their player card, where you can open the Status dropdown for the player, select Active then click the Save icon.
  4. Select the Matches menu on the left side.
  5. You now have three options for adding them to the current round.
    1. The player can be given a loss. Select Match Actions then Edit Match-Ups. Select the yellow skull button to assign a loss and then select Save.
    2. The player can be given a bye. Select Match Actions then Edit Match-Ups. Select the green trophy button to assign a bye and then select Save.
    3. The player can be paired with the bye. Select Match Actions then Edit Match-Ups. You can break a bye pairing by selecting the red X on the left side of the match to break it. Then set the table number where you want the new match in the top right of the pop out, double click the first player to pair then double click the second player. Then select Save.
    4. You can remake the round. Delete the current round and rematch players by selecting Match Actions then Delete Current Round’s Matches. Follow the prompt to type DELETE and then select Submit. Select Match Actions then Match Players/Teams.

Moving Tables

If a table needs to be moved – because of a drink spill or other inconvenience, that can be done using the following steps.

  1. Navigate to the Tournament Controller.
  2. Select the Matches menu on the left side then Match Actions -> Edit Matches.
  3. Select the red X on the left of the match to break the pairing.
  4. Type the appropriate table number into the current table number field and press enter.
  5. Double click on the first player to match and then double click on the second player to match.
  6. Select Save.

Note: If you need to move the whole event, the easiest way to do this is to delete the round’s matches and create new ones at different table numbers.
